Why the Lowest Mortgage Rate Isn’t Always the Best Mortgage

Cheap Is Great. Until Cheap Becomes Expensive.

Harpreet’s perspective

Real questions. Real properties. Real numbers.

Everybody wants a low mortgage rate. So do I. But I want to know what comes attached to it.

What happens if you sell early? What are the prepayment privileges? How is the penalty calculated? Is the mortgage portable? Are there restrictions? Does the product fit what you plan to do with the property?

Rate Is Only One Part of the Decision

A tiny difference in rate can sometimes save money. But the wrong mortgage structure could potentially cost much more if your plans change.

When someone tells me, ‘This lender is 0.05% cheaper,’ my response is usually, ‘Great. What else?’

Choose for Your Life

Rate matters. Terms matter too.

I do not want to find you the mortgage that looks best in an advertisement. I want to help you understand the mortgage that makes sense in your life.
